Why has the Smart Blade stopped circulating?
I can hear the motor working but the blade isn't turning.

In this case, one of a few things may have occurred:
- The blade mechanism may have become disengaged with the motor.
- This may require replacing the blade mechanism and/or the motor.
- The workbowl may be have too much contents, thus overloading the power of the motor
- remove some contents in the workbowl and attempt normal use. Discontinue and repeat until proper function is attained. If proper function does not occur, repair may be necessary.
- The motor itself may be damaged internally.
- The motor needs replacement.

The metal blades may have broken away from the white plastic blade assembly.
Replacement parts such as the chopping and grinding blade are available through Cuisinart's Web site or Amazon.com.
