Battery will not charge.

I put in the new battery and it will not charge. I then put in the old battery and it will charge. Did I get the wrong battery? Part number 142005-02 for my 16GB IPhone 3GS (A1303)

I did check three times that I put it back together right. I also checked the part that it matched.

Truckf250diesel, if your old battery works but not the new one, exchange the new battery with your vendor. sounds like a dud to me:-) hope this helps, good luck.
