Detached brown battery connector. Still able to plug-in to Windows?

Good afternoon, iFix it community!

A few years ago I was able to fix my old drain and broken battery with your guide, and a couple a weeks ago I changed muy broken jack and hold connector. But then I figures out that I had another problem: the brown battery connector weld to the motherboard (MB) had one of those little sharped arms from the MB in which the brown battery conector should be pluged had detsched...

So, I hope I've explained myself correctly since English's not muy mother tongue. That's my issue, and I know that I should change my MB, but since I just want to access my Favorite playlist, is there any chance I could just plug muy issued iPod and access to iTunes (or any other display utility) and backup my playlists...

I hope there's a solution to my problems and I would like to thank you in advantage.

Hope to read you soon.

Greetings from Spain!

eeerdm, that is a very common thing to happen. Anyhow, there are really only a few things that you can do. One is, of course, to replace the logic board. Not a very expensive or difficult task. The other thing you can try, is to get a local shop to solder a new connector onto the board. It is surface mounted, so you will need to get someone with experience in doing that type of repair. Check this video and see if you might be up to it. The clip is available at places like this. The only other thing I can think off is that you purchase a Usb-to-Zif adapter and connect your iPods hard drive to your computer. that would allow you to access your drive. iTunes saves the files with a difficult way of identifying. You may want to try programs like copypod with that. It will make it fairly easy. Either one of those repairs will ensure that you get to keep your iPod functioning. Hope this helps, good luck.
