I have a ipod 5th generation and ive had it for about an year and a half. All of a sudden when i charge it, the battery actually drains WHILE im charging it. I changed the charger its self and it is still losing battery life as its being charged. Ive used multiple outlets in my house and nothing is working.

Molly old unanswered question but I'll answer it for completions sake. Start by installing a new battery, use this guide for that. If that does not accomplish then you want to check the dock connector. Make sure there are not bend, broken or corroded pins. Clean it with some isopropyl alcohol a soft brush and some puffs of compressed air. Try a different cable and a different power adapter

Please clarify, does it show that charging icon? Or does it do absolutely nothing when plugged in. One indicates a bad battery, the other indicates a bad port, cable, or charger.
