Cannot restore my iPhone (Error 3)

I've tried many times to restore my iPhone 4s and I've tried RecBoot, Tiny Umbrella, changing the host file, switching out the usb cable and trying on a different PC. I always get "The iPhone "iPhone" cannot be restored" with the error number being 3. I've tried everything on Apple's site regarding this error and nothing can fix it. Has anyone figured out how to get this fixed? My iPhone was jailbroken so I know I'm an idiot here for trying to restore before taking the jailbreak off.

And after a few restores the iTunes logo on my phone will be red but then after another restore it will be blue. Does this mean anything?
