screen not responding to touch but everything else works

i dropped my phone on the face and it appears to have not broken the screen not shattered or anything of that sort the background picture and everything but i no longer able to swipe or do anything with the screen the side buttons work and yet i can receive calls and texts i can't swipe to answer them can you please help if its a loss cause or a easy fix
