Logic Board Swap?

Hi,

I dropped my phone on asphalt and the screen's shattered (the glass) and the rear housing is dented. If i take it to a local shop they're going to charge me at least 200 bucks to fix the whole thing.

Buying parts for the phone sets me back by 145 bucks from ifixit.

I was wondering if I could buy a locked iPhone (iCloud locked) which costs me 100 bucks including shipping and then put my logic board into that phone. Would it work? Or would I boot it up to find it locked?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Changing the logic board should be fine, as long as you know the one you dropped is fully working?
