Can I retrieve data if board is defective.
Have an iPhone 3 that I can't charge up. Could be a board/ charging port problem! Can I retrieve photos etc.

Chris blanchettenakota2012, only if you can turn it on. Then you could try to retrieve your files through iTunes etc. your computer will have to recognize your phone as well. If you can not turn it on and you are reasonably sure it is a connector issue, you could try a charged battery and see if your phone will turn on that way. You should consider a new battery as well as a new dock connector if the new battery should not work. Use these guides to work on your phone. Hope this helps, good luck.
