No power after charger is unplugged. It only runs off the Battery.

No power after charger is unplugged. It only runs off the Battery.

That is about it I am not sure why it did that. I replaced the hard drive in here a while ago. Everything works but not that. It says batter not charging and then sometimes it says it has so long until it is done charging.

Let me know if there is any more information.

There is no light bc it is an after market one. It says the battery is not charging (0%), the capacity is 82%.

Thank you for the help

Of course- if you unplug it would have to run off battery.

What color is the charger when you plug it in? Check the tip on the AC plug it to see if it is intact. Download Coconut battery and check the battery status: http://www.coconut-flavour.com/coconutba...

get the free version.

After we check these things out we can proceed to a possible bad DC-IN port. Also, is the power adapter an original Apple or an off brand.

Since you can't check the aftermarket charger except with a multimeter or another Mac. You can replace the DC-IN port. Here's the part: [linked product missing or disabled: IF184-003]
