I puled my CF card out while the camera was on...?

Now my camera won't turn on. Did I fry something or do i just need a new card?

Hi Ashleigh,

When you pull out the card accidentally while the camera is on, the camera usually switches off immediately and "reflexively" (although the dial is still on "On" position) - at least this is what my EOS 450D does.

Here is what helped me: I switched off the camera (brought the dial to "Off" position), put the card back in, and then switched on the camera again. My camera did not mind...

Let me know if this worked.

Steffen
