iPhone 4s upper antenna

Hi,

If I remove upper antenna from iphone 4s,is it possible to make or receive calls? (forget wifi)

This is just for wifi/Bluetooth. If you remove this antenna, cellular function will still work perfectly.

Is your question perhaps "I removed this part and now my phone is on searching--is this related?"

I had a feeling that would be the story----your phone will be 'searching' after any repair that disconnects the battery until the phone connects to WiFi and sets the date/time correctly. You can manually enter the correct date/time and see if the phone finds service.

If not, then look really really closely at the edge of the board for pry damage from battery removal. This is a common cause of searching/no signal after unrelated repair.
