home button clamp missing, where to source?

Been given a destroyed iphone 5s to look at, and im trying to locate the small little clamp which holds the flex cable down just before closing the screen up.

I can't seem to find the part anywhere? (Or know the correct name)

Any ideas please (im from the uk)

If this part isn't available, I was thinking of the tiniest blob of silicone to hold it in place, as this will just pop off if dropped again?

Thanks

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Why would you try to put on the home button if the phone is destroyed? :)

Anyways, they are not impossible to locate, even from the UK: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/100-ORIGINAL-i... or http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/iPhone-5S-Part...

I would not recommend using silicone, as this could end up ruining the connector. If you don't find/buy the bracket, I would just pop the connector on. I would think it should stay attached fairly well..

Hole this helps?

the phone still fires up and works, but the screen has been ripped out with all the flex cables, no idea how its hapened, poor lad only had it for 2 weeks.

Ok, I was just concerned about that flex cable popping off if he ever dropped it.

I suppose I could try a small amount of tape over the top.

I would definately buy the small clip from ebay, to ensure you didn't have to worry about it.. :) Anyways, I don't think the tape would make any difference, and I'm pretty sure the connector would stay in place anyways, even without the clip..

Nothing Is hard to find when you have the proper name for it :)

That's fantastic, thanks for that.
