Why doesn't my home button work?
My home button on my iPhone 3G doesn't work. Is there a replacement home button you can purchase? Are there any effective ways to simply troubleshoot thus problem

This is going to be a dumb question for you - is the iPhone assembled or do you have the screen partially off the body?
I had one apart the other day and nearly gave myself a heart attack. It wasn't completely assembled and everything was working except the home button. I finally noticed that it has connectors that only touch once it's fully assembled.
