Lid Switch Assembly

If the washer won't drain the lid switch assembly might be defective. This is a very common problem. The lid switch assembly can fail either mechanically or electrically. Test any electrical switches with an Ohm meter for continuity. The switches should have continuity according to their design.

Door Lock Motor and Switch Assembly

If the washer won't drain the door lock assembly should be checked. The door lock can fail either mechanically or electrically. Test any switches on the door lock with an Ohm meter. The switches should have continuity according to their design.

Coin Trap

If the washer won't drain the coin trap may be clogged. This washer is equipped with a device near the water pump called a coin trap. The purpose of this device is to trap any foreign materials that make their way down the drain. Normally, the coin trap can be accessed through an access panel. It is designed with the homeowner in mind and is normally easy to clean out.

I have experienced this with our Electrolux Inspire 7kg Direct Spray machine several times! Each time I have to drain the machine through the hose. There is nothing clogging the water pump impeller, but just rotating the impeller with a stick the machine works again! Dont know what the actual problem is. Another irritation thing with this machine is the plastic fins on the inside of the washing cylinder. The are not properly attached, and it is not possible to secure them with screws. I have ordered and replaced at least 6 of these!

Mine won't drain. The coin stop is clear and the impeller turns easily, but no water is being removed. Not sure what else to do?
