iPhone not turning on after battery replaced

My wife dropped the iPhone in water and when it was dried out and plugged into the charger just the apple logo would come on and it wouldn't go any further. I ordered a replacement battery, replaced it, and everything was great! It charged, I could use every feature of the phone... for about 1 day, then the same original problem started happening again with the new battery installed - it just shows apple logo when I try charging. When not charging it will not come on and will not even show apple logo. Any thoughts?

Thanks Con for your response. I didn't use rice and a radiator, just let it dry out for a long time.

So here's what happened since my original post. I opened up the iphone and replaced it with a different battery. The phone turned on again and was working great. I turned it off and a few hours later the same thing was happening - wouldn't turn on and when I tried charging it I would just get the apple logo continuously. So I conclude that it just completely drained the battery somehow even while it was off.

Next I tried opening it up and taking everything out all the way to the logic board. I cleaned the logic board front and back with ISO alcohol and then put everything back together. When I finished putting it all back together and hooked it up to the charger, I got the same thing - just the apple logo. Does anyone know what specifically I should clean in the iPhone to help fix this? Any other thoughts?
