This is an iPad Mini Wi-Fi 1st gen that i fixed and now the screen is locking when he grabs a specific spot on the screen.

Hello there some people don't realise that the iPad mini screens touch ic also is connected to the lock button..

Right were you are pressing is were the flex cable underneath is.

Is the flex cable trapped between the frame and glass? It should be folded towards the LCD and away from frame and glass

im not sure this is a customers ipad and he sent me that video. so the ribbon cable is most likely pinned under the glass?
