White screen with colored lines on it!

I have a Macbook Unibody white from 2009 (a1342). The macbook shows a white screen with colored lines on the lcd. On an external display everything works fine.

From previous experience with a macbook air i know it can either be one of 3 things:

-The LCD display itself is broken

-The LVDS cable is broken

-Or the LVDS connector on the motherboard needs a reflow.

Before purchasing both a lvds cable and a new lcd display i was wondering if someone has seen this problem before and what is most likely fix.

Thanks!

Turned out to be the LCD!

The most probable is the LCD then the LVDS cable. Unless someone has gotten the system wet or has physically damaged the logic board it is the least likely.
