white screen appeared when I dropped it

i was messing around with my brother and he knocked my ipod out of my hand,i looked at it to see if there was any damage and a white screen appeared,no cracks,and everything still works i can see the screen slightly and a small half of the screen takes longer to load than the other half,i have tried to restart and everything but nothing works?HELPP???

if you did a hard reboot (holding down the on/off and home button at the same time) then you you a new screen.

The dreaded "screen of death"... A whole new LCD display and digitizer is needed... :( It has happend to mine twice.. its quite a common issue...
