Spilled paint in earpiece microphone, now can't hear

I spilled paint on my phone and it got into the earpiece microphone (where you put your ear when you're on the phone). Now I can barely, barely hear the other person when I'm on the phone.

Should i replace the earpiece microphone?

I don't think that will do much. I opened my phone and there's nothing noticeably wrong with it. I think there is just dried paint in the speaker area, which I can't reach by taking the phone apart.

Thoughts? Please help! Thanks!!

Hi

It just sounds like there's leftover paint in the wire mesh for the earpiece microphone. All you have to do is take off the screen, remove the earpiece assembly, peel off the rubber gasket for the earpiece microphone carefully, clean it, and then peel off the wire mesh and clean it out. Then just super glue the wire mesh and gasket back on. I've done it before so it is definitely possible.

Best of luck
