Possible Water Damage to Dock Connection

I've got a 6 month old 3GS 16GB, and yesterday while browsing the RSS over breakfast, I managed to get a drop of water in the bottom of it.

I'm talking like a tiny drop here, I put the phone down in a minute puddle of drink on the table, and splashed the bottom of the phone. Nevertheless, I should've been more careful I guess!

So the phone worked absolutely fine from what I could see, sound worked (both in and out) screen was fine, all buttons functioned as they should. The only 2 problems were firstly, I got the 'Accessory not recognized' message, and when plugged into the dock or charger cable (I also tried a speaker dock) it wouldn't recognize a charge.

I've tried drying it out but to no avail, it's been sat in the charging dock for over 24 hours and nothing is happening.

Is there a fix or anything I could try? I'm guessing the dock connection isn't replaceable without a substantial part of the inside (possibly logic board) being replaced too. In which case it's likely going to cost more than the OOW replacement cost Apple charge.

Many thanks in advance
