These are software problems and generally, as a matter of policy, we do not answer software issues this is a hardware repair forum... there are other forums for software.
I happen to know some things about Apple Software so I will give you some things to try. Have a complete current backup of all your data before starting.
First off you need a new version of iTunes. By upgrading iTunes it should be able to launch and repair/update/import your old iTunes library.
You should first throw out your iPhoto .plist file from User/Library/Preferences... depending on the version of OS X you are using Library may be easy or hard to find (on newer iterations of the software User/Library is hidden by default. While you're there toss out iMovie .plist too.
You can rebuild/repair the iPhoto library. Before performing a rebuild, you should install any iPhoto updates by using Software Update.
To rebuild the iPhoto library:
- Quit iPhoto if it is open.
- Hold down the Command and Option keys on the keyboard.
- Open iPhoto.
- Keep the keys held down until you see a dialog box.
- A dialog will appear with rebuild options. Select the options you want to use (Check them all).
- Click Rebuild to begin the rebuild process. This may take a while depending on how large your image database is.
If deleting the iMovie .plist file does not fix iMovie try removing the movies from iMovie there may be a corrupt file somewhere
Also: Go to Apple Discussions under each application for more help. If you do not have an Apple ID and need one to post you can make one-they are free.
One other pointer if you do not have sufficient free (empty) space on your HD that could cause the crashing You need to keep ~20% of your total HD size left empty for VMEM and swap (temporary) files. (e.g. if you have a 256GB Drive you need 50GB empty).
