Logic Board parts missed beside the power connector.

I have changed the power button cable to my Iphone5, then it keeps in restarting every 3~5 minutes, when I check the logic board I found it missed 3 part "resistors or capacitors"? I am not sure.

attached photo for that area, and I need your help to identify which parts those are, and from where to buy?

Thanks in advance.

I had a similar self-inflicted issue caused by my gorilla hands trying to remove a stubborn battery and getting impatient. Prying on the battery in the area of the battery connector whacked the FL11 battery management inductor. The phone reboots every 2 - 3 minutes because the battery is no longer being detected. The battery diagnostic information indicates no voltage or current, and 0 charge cycles - I'd say that's a pretty good clue for FL11 pry damage. Now to see if I can get it fixed...

From left to right:

C9, C279, FL11

C9 is just a ripple filter, you won't die without it.

C279 is a filter for battery management I/O

FL 11 is an inductor for battery management I/O. Without it the system cannot read battery status so it keeps powering off as a safety measure.

Hi there! Can I replace that C279 capacitor with for example C67 100PF 16V 5% capacitor? What is that (PF)? Thanks

Ramadan, this is strictly to augment Tom Chai's answer. He is absolutely correct and I do just want to complete the answer to your question.

Reference designator C9 is a 56PF 16V 5% capacitor in a 01005 package

Reference designator C279 is a 56PF 16V 5% capacitor in a 01005 package

Reference designator FL11 is a 120OHM-210MA filter (TDK MMZ0402S121C)

All parts should be available at places like Mouser.com or Digikey.com as well as many others.

I found it is too expensive to order that items from Mouser.com to Egypt, so! do I have any other chance to fix that loop of restart with less cost$?

by

Mouser and Digikey are just the stores I use in the US. I am certain there are suppliers that are closer to you. Just out of curiosity, how much were they going to charge you?

by

for the ( C9 + C279 )

MERCHANDISE TOTAL:

$0.57

SHIPPING CHARGE:

$75.00

ORDER TOTAL:

$75.57

But: the FL11 they said (Minimum Order 16000

), so it seems it is impossible for me to import them....

* If any one can help me with that ... it would be highly appreciated.

by

Another concern,

here in Egypt I meet some technicians said to me they know how it fix this reboot issue without replacing those items! is that right ??? as I feel that is wrong to do, I think all I need is: to replace that parts only.

by

FL11 would give you trouble. It is needed to monitor the battery. Contact me by email, I could probably send the parts to you for way less. FL11 is available at digikey.com for $0.26

use a schematic. locate the missing filter on the schematic, then search a dead board for same filter
