Headphone Jack Static after Lightning Port replacement

I have successfully replaced the lighting connector assembly in my iPhone 5 and everything is working but there is terrible static in my headphone port. It sounds distorted and the controls on the headphone won't play or pause music. Is there a connection that I missed, or is this part defective. What can I check or tighten?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Ok So I decided to test a theory, I reinstalled the original Apple part theta had the lighting connector that doesn't work. The headphone jack works just fine. Still no ability to charge but that was the reason for the replacement. So It has to be another faulty part from iFixit. Calling customer support.
