Measure hardware home button. Internals are OK.

Isn't the home button just short circuiting the two pins?

Should't i be able to measure that on the flex cable from the home button? When i press the button, it should shot circuit right? Nothing happens :-/ Tried some old reference screens i had, same result.

If i short circuit the two pins in the iPhone with a screwdriver or anything metal, it works.

Ordering new home button flex, hopefully that will solve my problem.

New flex did the job. Apparently the new screen came with a dead home button flex :(

Options

Try bending the two metal prongs up slightly if they are to low then they won't make contact with the home button
