Replaced Ipad mini digitizer but touch won't work.

I recently replaced my ipad mini digitizer, and everything went fine. The problem now is that the home button works fine, but the touch screen doesn't work at all. I purchased this digitizer from Iparts outlet on amazon.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Sounds like a faulty digatizer or you have damaged or creased the cables try working the touch when it's at 90 degree angle

I tried to use it at a 90 degree angle. Didn't work. Yea, possibly a faulty digitizer..

Hi,

i own a repair shop, and is hard to give warranty for this type of repair. Since some clients will come back after 60+ days. With the crazy digitizer issue, even if i i can triple check that before finishing the repair i wont get the issue.

I transfer the tape and in some cases I put some new ESD tape on the bottom part.

Not every repair will end up with issue. But some of the digitizers will act randomly.

I only buy this replacement parts with the IC chip pre-soldiered.

I can only guess that the IC Chip or the digitizer itself are bad.

Hello again I guess it all boils down to the quality of the part .

my suppliers screens use the original home button ic from an original iPad mini screen and have never had an issue with the iPad mini but it is a bloody pain to repair and in my eyes the most difficult Idevice to repair bar the iPod 5th gen
