Noise cancellation mic not working, what to replace?

Hi, the noise cancelling mic on my 4s doesn't work. There is white noise when playing a video I record and the actual sound is inaudible. The only time you can hear the actual sound is when you speak directly to the pinhole next to the headphone jack. Speakerphone and camera are the one that don't work, regular phone, Siri or Voice memo work.

I tried resetting the phone, cleaning the pinhole with a needle, blowing dust out of it but nothing worked. Does anyone with similar trouble found a solution ? Taking it to an Apple store is not a solution I will be looking for since it is out of warranty.

The DIY tutorial I saw is for the iPhone 4 so I'm not sure if I need to replace the Power & Sensor cable as it may not have the same components for the 4S.

Thanks for you help.

Sorry I haven't tried it yet, I'm not at home for now. I'll update when I replace it.

I've just switched around the metal frame that holds the noise cancellation mic with the frame of a bricked phone and it worked so the change of flex worked for me.
