Screen flicker while moving or squeezing display

Ok this is wierd.

When I open my MacBook Pro or when I touch the right side of the display about 1/2 way down the screen jitters. I am not sure what the problem could be because there are no display connectors in that area. Is it possible the screen could be going bad or out? It doesnt really bother me all that much but I would like to correct it before it causes a problem.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

on the right side is the lvds connector - maybe the cable is not ok

but it can also be a problem with the lcd itself.

the only way to find out is to disassemble it

here is the guide

i test something like that with the disassembled but connected lcd (be careful) - this way - you will pretty fast find the problematic part

I had the same problem with my 15" A1260- I took it apart, which was not fun and you are correct, there are no connectors on that side of the screen. The problem got worse until eventually the screen would not stay on by its own. Although I now use the laptop plugged into the TV when I am at home, when I have to take the computer on the road, I use a big, plastic clip (like the kind used to hold potato chip bags closed) and clip it to the right side of the screen...This keeps the screen powered on and stops the flickering. It's not elegant, but I'm not buying a new screen, and the laptop isn't really old enough to replace (shame on apple for charging $3000 for this machine which has been back for repairs 5 times)...

(PS, I already had the free apple repair of the graphics card)

I had a flickering problem where the display would turn multiple colors when moved or bumped. I took my LCD apart on my macbook pro (2007) and cleaned all the connectors with some water and cue-tips and the flickering went away.
