power button doesnt work after replacement

I replaced the screen on my phone and now the power button doesnt work. Everything else works fine. I went back through the directions to see if perhaps i missed something and realized that i am missing the grounding finger for the rear facing camera near the power button. would missing this cause the power button to not work or is it possibly something else?

it shouldn't cause the power button to not work , look very closely at the pwr button flex it may have been damaged
