New front assembly has lines in it.

Purchased a new front assembly for iPhone 5c. After sever attempts to get secure connections the screen had several lines in it. Tried a used screen from a water damaged one and it started working. This assembly included home button and front facing camera.

Anyone else have this problem or find a cure for the cause?

Options

Try leaving the screen on for a least two hours however if that does not work you probably damaged the part or perhaps the logic board itself.
