Why wont my charger work?

recently my charger stopped working. I have tried about everything. I have changed the usb cord, the cube i use to plug into the wall, and different outlets with the same result. There seems to be only one cord that works and it only works at a certain angle 50% of the time. I know its my phone but i dont know what i need to do to fix it. Any ideas?

monique, from your description it appears that your micro USB port on your phone has failed. The repair will require some soldering. Disassemble your phone using this guide. Once you have the logicboard removed, unsolder the micro USB port from your logicboard and replace it with a new one. Here is a decent video, the port is widely available at many places. Just do a search for it. Hope this helps, good luck.

oldturkey03 has the right idea. The repair isn't an easy one, so I recommend looking for a repair shop that specializes in these repairs if you aren't up to the risk.

thank you. Im thinking of going to a local radioshack that specializes in phone repairs. If you have any suggestions of better repair shops, please let me know.

Well there isn't really a big name in cellphone repair. You're best bet would be to look up shops and read their reviews. I hear Yelp isn't bad. Also don't be afraid to give some of them a call to get a feel of what they can do.
