Chimes to start , Screen remains dark.

Hi, I have a 1Ghz Titanium DVI PowerBook G4. I push the start button to activate the computer, it chimes and I feel the drive move, but the screen remains dark and blank. What should I do to test this out or has the screen gone dead? Thanking you in advance for your prompt response.

Options

Hook it up to an external monitor to see if the video gives any signal. These machines are prone to failing LVDS (video) cables.

That usually means that it can't detect any RAM, use this guide to reseat the RAM.
