screen won't work, black vertical line after screen replacement

Okay so, here it goes.

A couple months ago I was at the beach and my iPhone 4 CDMA was stolen. A few days later I managed to track it down and get it back. But, when I got it back, the back cover was completely shattered. The LCD was completely fine; except the touch screen would not work. The guy who I got it back from said he had found it like that on the side of the road.

So, I ordered a replacement screen and back cover on ebay and installed them. It worked for a while with the exception of the fact that the battery wouldn't charge so I would have to keep it plugged in to use it most of the time, and when it would die I wouldn't be able to get it back on for days.

I decided that since my power button was broken, I would order the flex cable for it and hopefully I would be able to turn my phone on easier. I also ordered a new battery because I figured that could be a potential problem as well. So, I installed the flex cable and put the new battery in, turned the phone on and waited a second. The phone lit up (dark, but you can tell it's on) and a few seconds later a thick black vertical line is in the center of the screen. Can anyone help me??

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Hello make sure you have the lcd connectors seeded correctly..

But I think I no your problem I bet you never removed the screen when fitting the power flex and instead bent the lcd cable forward to remove the screws this is a common mistake as it damaged the lcd..
