Fan going full blast after battery and fan replacement

Replaced battery and fan on my mid 2009 13" Macbook Pro.

On first startup fan went on full speed, and stays there.

Tried SMC and PRAM reset, unplugged/replugged battery and fan, still same problem.

iStat reports fan speed 0rpm when it`s running full blast, temperatures on cpu reports normal.

Any ideas.?

Who's Fan did you use? Did it mess up the SMC services?

You may want to take a look at the temperature section are any of them high (wrong)? If not you may have a pinched or damaged the fan cable or the new fan is also bad.

I used the OEM fan from iFixit, replaced it as the old one was a bit noisy.

Tried replacing the fan with the old one and problem was gone.

New fan is going back to ifixit. Thx for the reply.
