upgrading to leopard from Tiger

Hi, can i upgrade to leapard and if so, what version should i buy?

Here is a link to Leopards requirements. Pay close attention to the CPU speed and memory needs. Assuming you do have a iBook you have a PPC processor and would want Leopard 10.5--your computer will not run 10.6 Snow Leopard. And please be sure you get a retail copy or it may not work. There are a lot of machine specific versions out there. Good luck. Ralph

Even if it has the 867 MHz or better processor required, and you've maxed the RAM out, and you have a DVD to install it, you may find your performance loss unacceptable, and be disappointed. I'd really stick to a maximum of 10.4 on this machine.

Even though you can support leopard, and you can meet the specs by upgrading, I strongly suggest you do not upgrade, as it will not preform well on you machine, making it laggy and in general having low performance. My policy is generally X-1 for optimum performance on older machines, where X is the maximum OS.
