MacBook Air screen goes black after apple logo after lcd replacement

I replaced the lcd on a Macbook Air and after replacing the screen the computer would boot up, get to where I would expect to see a logon screen and then the screen would go black. I know that the device was still on and working because I could hear sounds when trying to adjust screen brightness etc.

At this point I tried resetting the nvram, now the computer is stuck in a boot loop. Please help!

What happens when you connect an external monitor to your system? Is the external display working?

Recheck all your connections. Many times that's the issue, a lose or poor connection.
