hey all my hard drive just stop working but from taking it out and plugging it in on another pc it can be seen i have have put three different hd's in and no look it works when i replace with dvd drive :S is it my logic board or my sata cable but the ir works :s

Adam - Sounds like you have a bad SATA cable in your system. As you didn't give us your exact model I can't offer anything more here.
Can you give us the last four digits of your serial number so we can ID your device. Maybe we can offer you some more help then.

DTY4 is the last 4 numbers its a mac book pro 13" mid 2012 i7 with 8 gb ram
Apple had a bad run of the cables and to top it off the older model was SATA II Vs SATA III. Make sure you get the correct cable for your system. Using the older cable in your system will create issues.
Older - Do not use: MacBook Pro 13" Unibody (Model A1278 Mid 2009/Mid 2010) Hard Drive Cable
Newer - Correct cable: MacBook Pro 13" Unibody (Model A1278 Mid 2012) Hard Drive Cable
