Power adapter turn on issues

Hi,

I have a Macbook Pro model A1211. It won't start with the adapter but runs from battery. I bought a new 85W adapter but still won't start. Is there a way to determine for sure if it is the "left logic board"? The light of the Mag Safe adapter shows green even when battery is not present. I have reset the SMC and PRAM.

Options

Download and run Coconut battery to see if you are getting power from the left I/O board to your battery. This machine usually requires at least a20% charge on the battery (that's 20% of the original capacity). The left I/O board is Apple Part # 922-7187.

You may need version 2.6.6 instead of version 3.
