Why is my screen black after I dropped it?

I dropped my phone at work it wasn't far from the ground and when I picked it up the entire screen was black still works just not the screen is this fixable?

Options

Either the connector has come loose or the lcd is busted

Open up and disconnect lcd and reconnect and if still black screen then you need a new display and they arnt cheap
