iPhone5 won't restore (error 2001) after screen+battery replacement.

Hello I got a screen replacement for iPhone 5. After I connected the screen I got a white line across it. I read it is due to battery getting disconnected so I reconnected the battery. Got even more white lines.

After reconnecting battery / screen several times I finally got the iPhone to boot without white lines.

Except this time it was a boot loop.

I tried restoring it via iTunes, but no luck.

The iPhone will also not start without USB.

iTunes gives error 2001.

iPhone is not jailbroken.

Answer this question I have this problem too

I'm going to guess pry damage behind SIM tray on motherboard---but mostly because I fixed nine phones with that problem today :)

If a component called U3 is damaged the home and power button will not work and phone will boot to recovery mode. Fix = replace U3

And what is the cost of replacing a U3 please?

Or just try a different battery. The connection between the battery and motherboard may not be secure.
