iPhone wont turn on, new battery. old battery smells like nail polish

My 5s wont turn on, my old battery smells like nail polish remover. I got a new battery, but it still dosen't turn on. I got solder over the battery soldering points on the logic board when i was soldering the emi shield back on. I tried to remove the solder from the soldering points. But still dosen't wont... Answer fast.

Options

Test for short with a multimeter between pos and neg pins on battery connector. Dispose of damaged battery right away.,

How am i gonna do that?

set to continuity testing place a lead on the two outermost battery connector pins and listen for beep. beep = a short.

There was a solder there was week. The phone powers on now, but now the pc wont reconise the phone? ant its on the activation menu.
