Impact and Effect of Dropped ipad: What to check

Our newly purchased ipad air dropped.

1. Outside of checking for any visible chip, scratches, broken screen and/or green screen, kindly advise what other things should we check.

2. For how long should we check our ipad before we can see the impact/effect of the drop.

3. If let's say after three months we encounter a problem, how can we say if that problem is related to the dropping.

Need your help please. Thanks in advance.

If you don't see any physical damage and it appears to be working correctly, it was a near-mis ;-}

I would strongly recommend getting a good case if you tend to drop/knock things to the ground.

If you do see damage and it still works you could have a time bomb as the pressure being applied on the internal components (i.e. Battery) could after a bit of time cause the unit to fail. Apple packs the iPads very tightly so there just isn't much give room from compression issues.

As to repairing: a dented case could be reformed upto a point. The rub here is the cost of stripping the unit down and getting the correct tools to do it Vs replacing the unit.
