Is it possible to replace battery with 2014 model?

would it be possible to use a newer battery for the MacBook Air 13" Early 2014 model in the older MacBook Air 13" Mid 2011?

MacBook Air 13" (Mid 2013/Early 2014) Battery

Looks like the screws points are all in the same place and the battery looks to be same shape/size.

Does anyone know?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Here's the compatibility list for the 2011 Battery:

Compatibility

Identify your Mac

1.86 or 2.13 GHz (Late 2010) 13" MacBook Airs

1.7 or 1.8 GHz (Mid 2011) 13" MacBook Airs

1.8 or 2.0 GHz (Mid 2012) 13" MacBook Airs

Here's the compatibility list for the 2014 Battery:

Compatibility

Identify your Mac

1.4 or 1.7 GHz (Early 2014) 13" MacBook Airs

1.3 or 1.7 GHz (Mid 2013) 13" MacBook Airs

1.8 or 2.0 GHz (Mid 2012) 13" MacBook Airs

Both show the 1.8 or 2.0 GHz (Mid 2012) 13" MacBook Airs.

So it should be comparable. Apple Part #: 661-7474
