How to retrieve data from flash drive when motherboard doesn't work?

I have an iPhone 3G (16GB, I think). The motherboard on that phone no longer works. I wasn't able to retrieve all the data off of the flash drive before the motherboard failed. Are there tools and tutorials available that can help me retrieve that data?

Joshua Garcia, smartphone do not really use a "flash drive". Data is stored on NAND flash chip's. that data is very hard to retrieve from those chips and will require highly specialized equipment and knowledge to do so. This is not for the normal DIY'er (or even very experienced ones) So, no. You can not obtain that data from a dead logic board.
