What part need to replace? What should I check/ do first?

I just bought the iPod from eBay, the seller described "The screen is blank and appears to be bad. The iPod powers on, it syncs to iTunes, and it hold charges. It's in good physical condition, with some signs of normal use. The liquid sensor has not been triggered and remains white. The USB port is not damaged."

I predict that the LCD is the problem, it need to be replace, but I am not sure. It could not be the motherboard or battery problem because it could still power on, sync, and charge.

I never had experience with repairing, this will be my first time. Please be specific, thank you. If you could, please be specific with what I need to buy to repair. I know I would need the tools kit. Do I need to get the adhesive tape or glue?

Answer this question I have this problem too
