Laptop got wet, not sure which part is which.

I am not sure which part is the one that works the monitor. The keyboard sounds, keyboard lights up, charger light, all works including all USB ports. The monitor seems to be busted. I'd rather go and buy the part that will fix the monitor instead of sendin it to a shop.

It isn't that easy. Components are soldered to the logic board. If you do not have the tools and experience you can quickly destroy a logic board trying to replace a component.

Check out the tags at right to see what you're in for in diagnosing and repairing liquid damage to a display. If an external monitor works you know your GPU card is ok... if it doesn't you need a new logic board.

If the GPU is ok there is a fuse/controller for the LED screens that could be your problem. You'll have to open the box and look with a mark one eyeball and magnifier for burned, corroded or swollen parts.

Good Luck
