New power button flex not functioning - iPhone 4s A1387

I have tried different flex cables for the power button/proximity sensor that are new and neither work, the old one worked but was hard to push. I checked the board and made sure everything was plugged in correctly, can't find any problems it just won't function. Does anyone have any ideas as to why this is happening?

install the old flex and see does it work as it was working before

I tossed the old one so there is no way to tell.

Same problem here. The old one still fits. The new one no way.

It to small for me to tell why it won't fit.

But is does not snap on !!

So which component to order.

Is there a difference between the 3 seperate 4S models ??
