Toshiba Satellite C855-1TD won't load?
My son turned on his laptop but it won't start it just says that it's scanning and repairing drive ( c ) 0% complete.
It's been like this for a few hours now.

claire paley, sounds like a bad hard rive. Check to see if the computer BIOS still sees the drive. It is possible that the hard drive has a bad MBR. If the BIOS detects the drive, change the boot order to optical drive and try to boot from the CD drive with a system disk. Ultimately, the error is either on or the drive itself.
