Battery Replacement - Needs to be soldered

Hi Guys,

I've tried to replace the battery of my iPhone 5 (Model A1429) this morning, one !@#$ of a mission as someone else tried to open it and stripped the torx screws! Anyway I finally managed to get it open only to realize that the battery is soldered onto the main board.

I purchased the repair kit from IFixIt and the battery they sent me has a ribbon with the connector and nowhere to connect the new battery...

This was a Network locked handset which was originally purchased from Telstra so I'm not too sure why it has different components.

Does anyone know where I can purchase a new battery from so that I can solder onto the main board, also a guide would be very helpful :)

Cheers!

Dradeel, this does not sound right at all. Do us, and yourself, a favor and post some images of your components. This does not sound like a iPhone 5 at all. Wonder if it is another ChIphone

Dradeel, definitely not an iPhone but a ChiPhone. It is a clone. Wonder if it is a HiPhone 5 :-) Anyhow, not sure what you got and it will be difficult to replace any parts on it . I'd consider it a write-off.
