How can I tell if I have a dead fan? Also, how can I tell specifically which fan is dead. I'm certain one is gone because it gets pretty warm rather quickly. I just don't want to take the back panel off, turn it on, and run it upside down.

You use Apple Hardware Test, or 3rd party fan apps that report and can adjust fan speed/settings (SMC Fan Control, Temperature Monitor, Temperature Gauge) .
