I believe the "c" at the end of the model denotes a Verizon network phone on Straight Talk.

I own a cellphone repair shop and had run across the same issue. None of the places I ordered my Galaxy screens from showed a replacement specifically for the Straight Talk SCH-S968C Galaxy S3. Luckily I had an AT&T i727 S3 in for a screen replacement at the same time as the Straight Talk phone so, I stripped them both down and compared the mid frames. I then tried the AT&T replacement screen on the Straight Talk phone. The result was that the replacement screen for the AT&T Galaxy S3 (i727) fit and worked perfectly on the Straight talk phone. :)

Please double check your model number. The i727 is a Galaxy S2. Could you have possibly meant an i747?

So is it a i727 or an i747?

I also run a repair shop. I have the sch-S968c(gp) from straighttalk open in front of me. I put the motherboard from the s968c into the screen assembly from the AT&T SGH-i747. The midframes are slightly different. It's a tiny difference, that puts a little strain on one of the tiny transistors on the back of the motherboard, what would be the bottom left of the phone looking at it from the screen side. The tiny cutouts are slightly different on the midframes. It fits in there, and may work, but it's NOT an exact fit.

I don't have a Verizon version to test with right now, but that's what I'm going to order.

Conclusion: SGH-I747 screen assembly with midframe NOT a match for the SCH-S968c(gp).

If you look at the FCC ID number inside of the Straight Talk phone, it should be about 10 caracters the last 7 should be the major carrier model that is applicable example my phone A3LSCHI535 / SCHI535 is a verizon model as well as parts compatability.

Will the mid-frame + lcd/digitizer assembly off the att be compatible? I want to just drag and drop the board.

I have the same problem looking for a replacement lcd and frame for the 968c.

I'm thinking i need the s3 i535 verizon parts as a few ebay listings for the i747 lcd & frame say "not for cdma phones" verizon is cdma and the straight talk 968c runs on verizon.

I'm positive the 968c is the same as the SCH-I535. They have the same FCC ID number. The online manual from straight talk gives FCC ID number: A3LSCHI535 When i search the number on the fcc website they list a manual for the sch-I535
